The Russian Museum
If you are fond of Russian national art,
you’re on the right way. The Russian Museum is the
first state museum of the Russian fine art in the country.
It was established in 1895 in St Petersburg under the decree
of the Emperor Nicholas II and opened for visitors in 1898.
The Museum has a collection of fine art, including medieval
Russian icons, Russian painters and sculptures.
