Peterhof
Originally Peterhof is German for "Peter's
Court". It’s the world-famous Royal country residence,
a town of parks, palaces and fountains, was founded in the
beginning of the XVIIIth century. Peterhof, sometimes called
the "Russian Versailles" is located about twenty
kilometers west and six kilometers south of St. Petersburg,
overlooking the Gulf of Finland. Now take your time and
prepare for the journey. It will take a whole day to see
the Great Palace, Montplaisir and Marly Palaces, the Hermitage
Pavilion, to have a fountain promenade and relax in wonderful
parks.
