Russians have a long standing tradition of going to Banya. Even though everyone has bathroom at home today, Banya still remains an important place in cultural life of many Russians. They don’t just wash there, but gather for different events: to celebrate something or to discuss something in a narrow circle in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. In the village Banya is usually a small wooden house. In the city it may be a big building with many rooms for different procedures. Socializing in Banya is usually accompanied by eating and drinking.
